I’ve always wanted to be a tutor. But when I found out how much tutors earn, I decided it wasn’t worth it. I was making more money than tutors were! So, I put my tutoring dreams on the back burner and spent my time with friends.

However, after being invited to tutor my brother and seeing how much he struggled in his math class, I felt sorry for him and accepted the offer. Teaching my brother has been tough at times but also rewarding. It made me realize that I could teach kids math for a living and still have time to spend with my friends now and then!

Tutoring my brother was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I would get so frustrated when he didn't know how to do something and I would have to teach him. It was always a fight between us, whether it was me trying to teach him the basics or trying to understand what he wanted to learn about. But after a few months of tutoring him, I realized that not only am I helping my brother learn, but I'm also learning too. Here, are some hard-earned lessons on tutoring my brother that will help you with your own kids.

I have a brother who is a high school senior. He just got his first letter from the college he wants to go to. It was not what he wanted. He had applied to other schools as well, and he was hoping for better news. It's been hard on him, and on the family as well, but we're trying to keep it together. His SAT scores were a little below what the colleges he applied to wanted. One of them even said outright that his test scores weren't good enough for them to consider him for admission at this time. My dad wants him to retake the SATs and apply again next year, but I don't know if that will help or not.

I'm in my first semester of college right

I’ve never been a tutor ever in my life, but when my brother asked me to help him with geometry, I couldn’t refuse. I saw the look on his face when he dropped out of school because he couldn't keep up with the work. He wanted to go back so bad, but he was just too far behind. Watching him struggle and hearing his frustration made me feel really bad for him. So I said yes.

The first few weeks were tough. My brother didn't want to do any of it—he just wanted the answers without learning how to do anything himself. But as we got into it and started doing some of the exercises together, he started to get interested in it and even asked questions

My brother is a senior in high school, and he needed a tutor. I know that tutoring can be expensive, but I also wanted to spend time with my little brother. I could feel his stress levels rising as the school year came to a close. He was stressed about finding a job and about getting into college. But when I asked him what he wanted to study, he said he wasn't sure yet. So, I decided to help him out by tutoring him for free. It definitely made me feel like I was making an impact on his life and on mine too.
