How I started Earning Money for Myself
It all started when I was a small girl. My mom would ask me to help my dad with the garden, she could always find me in our backyard, digging up worms and snapping off the heads of flowers to make tea. After school, I would walk through downtown with my friend’s, counting all the stores that showed their wares outside. I loved being outside and seeing what people were doing. Sometimes I would see them painting on their easels or writing stories in notebooks. And then one day when my dad asked me to help him with his business, it all clicked into place for me. The way people spend their time is just as important as what they do for a living.
When I was in high school, my parents would give me a weekly allowance. That worked for a while, but with my part-time job and the cost of living in New York City, it wasn't enough to cover all my needs. So I started selling things on eBay. As you can imagine, I had to learn a little bit about how to get the most out of my eBay listings. Luckily, this blog post has everything you need to know about making money from your own stuff.
When I was a little girl, my parents always told me that I could do anything. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and innovators, so it seemed like second nature to follow in their footsteps. It wasn't until college that I realized how difficult it is to find a job with no experience and no connections. That's when the idea of building my own business came to mind.
Most people go through life relying on the income of their parents or spouse. And even though they may be capable of working, they choose not to. There are plenty of reasons why someone might not want to work: they enjoy their free time, they don't see the point in working, and so on. But it's never an easy decision to make. So what are the best ways for a person who doesn't work to earn money for themselves?
I'm an 18-year-old and I live with my parents. They are VERY strict and I'm tired of being sheltered. We don't have a lot of money, so there's not much I can do to earn some extra cash on my own.
