The Too increase of population
We are too many against our total food supply. But for our
regular use and future store we need a big amount of food stock. Within 2050,
the population of the world will rise by to 9800 million from today's 7600
million. These excess faces require food. It should not be the primary food
like rice, wheat, and potato. They need protein, especially meat and fish.
Protein demand will increase as much money as possible in human hands. For
instance, in the next decade, the consumption of beef in Asia
is expected to increase by 44 percent.
Keeping livestock for food has already had a great negative
impact on the environment of the world. The number of farm animals increased
substantially in the 20th century. At present, there are more than 2,000,000
chickens, 150 million cattle, and one hundred million sheep alive in the world.
One-fourth of the world's land is used for feeding them. They eat 30 percent of
the world's crops. They are overeating water. One kilo beef is required to
produce about 15,000 liters of water. However, for production of one kilo of
wheat or corn, only one and a half thousand liters of water is needed. According to the UN Food and Agriculture
Organization (FAO), livestock gets responsible for about 14 percent of all
greenhouse gases.
If this is the case, how is it possible to sustain this
world or its environment? A solution to this problem is to suggest that people
keep things as they are not just protein in the food plate. It cannot be a
better solution than being a vegetarian. If the protein is to eat, then it is
best to eat fish instead of meat. The amount of fish that people eat today
exceeds the consumption of meat. Half of the fishes that people eat are farming
fish. The free water fish is almost on the way to extinct.
In this situation, advised to eat pest as an alternative
source of proteins, some mammals take this to eat. Pest
keep amount of protein is three times the size of meat. In the meantime, this insect
has become the defining or additional part of the world's 20 million people.
This information is provided by FAO.
Another solution may be to use technology to create
synthetic proteins. Investors like Bill Gates and Richard Branson have helped
extend the help of artificial meat processing companies who are going to make
beef and chicken meat from animal cells. Scientists are looking for ways to
transit genetic mutations in animals so that livestock can be increased.
Such inventions can bring tremendous potential results. And
if they are artistic and can be made acceptable to consumers, then there is no
mention. But changing the diet of food or feeding the food is not the only way
to feed the durable population more sustainable. There is one more way. That is
to replace the food that the animals eat. And here the technology can be the
biggest impact. The crop used as fodder is more efficiently utilized. To
increase the production of food such as soybean, a more intensive cultivation
system can be taken where the water will also be used for fertilizer.
But the more destructive path is to change the fodder. The
initiative which was already being taken for reducing the fishery used in fish
farming has already found its benefits.
Fawn warns that 70 percent more food production will be
needed than 2009 by 2050. If so then it can be a good step to utilize these
systems. However, pepper is to think about food stock and must have the plan to
get food during prepping and survival period.
