My Journey to The Christianity
I was raised a devout Catholic and went to Mass every week. But as I learned more about the world, I began to question the strict dogma and faith of my upbringing. In between long conversations with friends and family, I read everything I could get my hands on. From religious history books to philosophical texts, from science fiction novels to collections of short stories by masters like Aeschylus, Toni Morrison, and Flannery O’Connor, I wanted to know what it meant to be human.
After years of exploring and questioning, I found myself at the door of a church in Bogotá [Cali] for a Sunday service. I had no idea what was going on inside but the way people outside talked about it
It is not an easy task to find the truth. Life tends to be messy and complicated, so it is common for people to want a simple answer. This leads to many false religions out there, all claiming that they are “the one true way” to God. So how can we know which one is best?
Luckily, Jesus tells us exactly what we need to do in order to make the right choice: Follow the person who brings you peace, love and joy. If you have found that in Christianity, then this article is for you!
In this article, I will share how I found peace and joy through Christianity. I hope that it will help you on your own journey as well!
I was a Muslim, and I had a happy life. I believed in my faith, never gave it much thought, and didn't know anything about Christianity or any other religion for that matter. But then one day, the unthinkable happened. My cousin passed away and she was raised Christian.
I didn't understand what happened to her because she seemed so healthy. It broke my heart to see everyone around me grieving when they were supposed to be celebrating the death of a loved one. That's when I started researching different faiths and discovered Christianity.
My friend told me that Jesus can heal hearts no matter how broken they are after someone has died or been hurt. So I went to church on Sundays even though no one in my family would go
I was raised in a Christian family. I knew Jesus and had attended church, but I was not born again until my senior year of high school. It wasn’t easy for me to live the life of a God-fearing man or woman. But as I began studying the Bible more and more, I found that its teachings are simple, yet profound. And they make sense!
The journey to Christianity is not always an easy one. The Christian faith is unlike any other, in that it's a relationship with a person and with God. It's not just about believing in something like Santa Claus, or brushing your teeth every night before bed. Christianity is about giving your life over to Jesus, and trusting Him as your Lord and Savior.
