My Journey into the World of Poetry

Poetry is a form of writing that is often misunderstood. People think that poetry is only about trees and flowers, or it's just not for them. But the truth is, poetry can be any topic, and it can help us to make sense of some of the big questions in life. I used to be one of those people. I didn't know anything about poetry when I decided to start writing my own poems. Now that I've immersed myself in the world of poetry, I've found so many extraordinary writers who have helped me see the world differently. Here's how you can get started with this wonderful art form.

I have been writing poetry since I was in middle school. I never shared my poems then because I wanted to see if I could write a poem that could stand on its own without any outside influences. This summer, I finally got up the courage to share my words with the world. Here are some of my favorite poems and why they mean so much to me.

I can remember sitting on the floor in kindergarten with a small group of students reading poetry from Dr. Seuss's "Oh, The Places You'll Go!" A few years ago, I came across 'Howl' by Allen Ginsberg for the first time. It was unlike anything I had ever read before. It was passionate and angry, yet somehow still beautiful. It reflected on how he saw his world as an outsider- someone who did not fit in with society's norms. Even now,

For a long time I didn't think I was a poet. But as the years went by, it became clearer to me as I wrote more and more poetry that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. They say that only those who feel it know it, and maybe that's true. My journey into the world of poetry has just begun, but here are some of my favorite poems so far:

Poetry is a beautiful art form that can be taken out of the classroom and brought to the masses. If you’ve ever wanted to write poetry but weren’t sure how, here are some tips to get started. Poetry is meant to evoke an emotional response.

It's also important to understand that poetry is best when it's written from the heart, and not copy-pasted from other sources. These pointers are just a starting point for writing your own personal poem!
