Scientists and doctors are warning of a possible second wave of cove nineteen, when that could happen and what it would look like are the biggest questions. Dr Peter marks director of the center for biologics evaluation and research at the food and drug administration says a second or even a third wave.
It will be an ongoing concern until a vaccine is developed. Until widespread testing is available experts may not know if people are immune to covet nineteen if they've already had it.
Experts believe the second wave will likely hit areas not as severely infected now. Dr Gregory Poland at the Mayo Clinic says quote waves to will be in the interior of the country where there are a lot of susceptible people.
It's unknown how the virus will act in warmer weather if it behaves like the flu.
It could survive longer in colder drier weather and re emerging winter more widespread testing is necessary to answer these questions.
