Amazon is creating logistics jobs
Amazon is hiring 350 new employees in the German distribution centers due to the corona virus crisis. This is surprisingly little considering the comparative figures from the United States.
It should be known that the online retailer Amazon is currently more than well utilized . The company has now announced that it will fill 350 new logistics jobs in Germany in the face of the corona crisis. According to company information, these are full-time and part-time positions at the various logistics locations. In contrast, the Amazon spokesman did not provide more precise information on where and how many jobs should be created.
350 jobs may sound like a lot at first, but they are not really, considering that the company alone has more than 30 locations with a total of 20,000 employees in Germany alone - the second most important market after the USA, which is still enjoying decent growth . There is a lot of fluctuation, especially at the logistics locations, so that the bottom line is that the personnel requirement is likely to be somewhat higher than the 350 workers mentioned. In the past year alone, Amazon had announced that it would employ 2,800 additional workers (although company-wide, including specialists and managers), without the special economic situation caused by the corona crisis.
