Will Great Britain?
The human mind is very flexible. There is a say that when a nation lasts for 1000 years, people may say by remembering their past- was a worse part. But on the other hand, there is also a say that old is gold. Can we remember our boyhood that what beautiful those days are?
British want to exit and termed as Brexit. There was 51.9% vote for leave which was announced by the Government of UK in the year March 2017. It was a two-year process and was supposed to conclude by 29 March 2019. There was a vote in the UK parliament, that deadline has been extended three times, and is currently 31 January 2020.
First of all the amount of vote for leaving was not very dominating. It was 51.9%, not 81.9% or similar to that. It is very prominent that a small percentage of people becoming a determining factor.
The UK is headed for a new election on Dec 12, at a time when both its major parties are headed by people who should never be trusted anywhere near Downing Street. What’s more important is the likelihood that Prime Minister Boris Johnson may eventually manage to drag a wearied Britain out of the European Union.
With Brexit, both trade and GDP will suffer. The poor level will be down by 3%. As The Economist magazine noted, Johnson’s Brexit plan would be even worse for the UK economy than that of his predecessor. But this a view of criticism.
I feel that citizens of the UK should realize deeply the impact of Brexit. Let them decide.
The new withdrawal day is on 31 January 2020. Surely a new era is going to start in the coming year for the UK.
